1. Open PR to release branch

The PR should be merged and trigger a staging deploy in CI/CD. Review with all the team and QA the release in staging environment.

What if?

You find a bug in QA

• Create a branch off of release with the name bug#/name-of-the-issue, where # is the number of the issue associated with the bug.
• When you finish solving the bug, open a PR to release branch.
• Repeat QA testing.
• Once bug is solved, merge changes to release branch and develop branch.

2. Open PR to master branch

Once QA is passed, open the PR to master and tag the release.

What if?

You find a bug in production

• Create a branch off of master with the name hotfix#/name-of-the-issue, where # is the number of the issue associated with the bug.
• When you finish solving the bug, open a PR to release branch.
• Perform QA process.
• Once bug is solved, merge changes to release branch and develop branch.
• Open PR to master branch.
• Merge and tag the release in master branch.
